Xbox One S now has three official bundles on the market: the 2TB Launch Edition and the recent 1TB and 500GB bundles, which come at a lower price point. As it turns out, there are also three Xbox One S deals as of writing.
With the PlayStation 4 Slim just around the corner, it’s not too surprising that select retailers are offering aggressive bundles shortly after the launch of the Xbox One S. [Note that the deals below will expire as late as next week Tuesday or until sold out.]
Xbox One S Deals
- Xbox One S 1TB Madden NFL 17 Bundle: $349.99
Bonus: free $50 eBay gift card
- Xbox One S 1TB Madden NFL 17 Bundle: $369.99
Bonus: Witcher 3 and Doom
- Xbox One S 500GB Halo Collection Bundle: $329.00
Bonus: Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, Fallout 4, and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
These Xbox One S deals popped up on NewEgg’s eBay page this week, but they are not on their retailer website. The deal with the free $50 gift card has no known expiration and quantity count, but it has sold more than 470 units as of writing. The two NewEgg eBay deals expire Tuesday 10AM (for the 1TB deal) and Monday 5PM (for the 500GB deal). Thus far, it looks like the 500GB bundle is selling much better.
Older Xbox One Deals
- Xbox One 500GB Name Your Game Bundle: $259.99
B onus: Madden NFL 17, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate
- Xbox One 1TB Holiday Bundle: $299.99
Bonus: Madden NFL 17, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
Don’t care about the Xbox One S and simply want the cheapest price on an Xbox One console? NewEgg is also clearing out older Xbox One bundles at cheap prices.
The first offer is the least expensive and features a $40 discount on the Xbox One 500GB “Name Your Game” Bundle. This drop to $259.99 is complimented by free copies of Madden NFL 17 and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Buying the two games separately at their best prices online would tally $80, so it’s a decent bonus value.
The second Xbox discount is on the 2015 released 1TB Holiday Bundle. The old Holiday bundle includes 3 games already (Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Ori and the Blind Forest, and Rare Replay) and includes Madden NFL 17 and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege as well. Madden + Siege add up to $85 separately, so an even greater bonus than the Name Your Game Bundle.
Which Bundle to Go With?
Which of these Xbox One bundles are the best deal? If you want the Xbox One S, we’d pick the 1TB bundle with the $50 eBay gift card. This essentially gets you another game or an extra controller (versus the bundle with free copy of Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate – a title often given away because it sold poorly).
For the older Xbox One, the 1TB Holiday bundle is actually a better bet because most gamers will eventually need the extra space, plus the additional games thrown in the holiday bundle are significantly better than the “free” choice in the “Name Your Game Bundle.”
