Blizzard will be picking a mixed group of representatives including pro players, well known personalities, and players with a high ranking during the first season of competitive play.  It will be on Aug. 11 that fans from each region can use their accounts to vote for who they want to represent their country. Blizzard will be providing more info about which characters the players are best at and what their competitive rankings are. Once teams are formed they will be battling it out in a best-of-three, single elimination online match.

This will go on until there are six teams from the European region, six from the Asia-Pacific region and four from the Americas. This will mean that 16 teams will be competing in a round-robin group stage and then in the single elimination finals. There is no prize pool for this tournament, but all the teams get a free trip to Blizzcon 2016. It was stated on the official website that the matches will be live streamed and that more info will be revealed at a later date.
