PlayStation users can now explore the PSN Store in Arabic, Sony announced today. The new language option is available in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, and Lebanon. The Arabic version of the PS Store will only be available on the PS4 and on the web.
Users who want to switch to Arabic can do so by following the steps below:
“First, go to [Settings] > [PlayStation Network/Account Management] > [Account Information] > [Language]. Next, enter the password, select Arabic from the drop down menu, and select [Confirm]. And finally, select [Confirm] again in Arabic.”
Those who wants to switch the language on the web should do the following:
“First, navigate to PS Store on the web and sign in using their PlayStation Network ID and click on the Online ID at the top of the page, and then choose [Account Settings]. Next, they should click on [Account] > [Account Details] and under [Identity] select [Edit]. And finally, Arabic is to be selected as the language and the changes saved.”
In addition to this, Sony also announced that users in Saudi Arabia can now make purchases on the PS4, PS3, and web via CashU payment services. CashU is payment gateway that allows users to make secure payments without requiring the need to input credit card information to make purchases, much like PayPal.
